Odyn (123), USA Jun 25, 2008 Great smell and a pretty color. Not as hoppy as some, which makes it a good tasting easily drinkable beer dwyerpg (1978), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jun 23, 2008 A pretty agressive hoppiness to this but not really in a great way. Just seems to be hopped but not balanced. However, it was certainly pretty drinkable and maybe a little underrated. Dacrza (131), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA Jun 23, 2008 Soft brownish-red body with a white head that evokes lacing in a perfect balance--a half-inch head sits comfortably and sternly... spruce and hops abound, with fitting hints of malt--this could be a pleasant surprise! Smooth--too smooth?--for an IPA; warms the whole mouth with its medium-bodied presence... malts are present, as are citrus hints and a warming herb or two... not bad--slacks off as the glass drains still, a long way for Honey Brown’s maker! A strange taste when exhaled, though... A pleasant, nonthreatening IPA--an American IPA that you don’t need a toothpick or a toothbrush after imbibing... overall, I could drink this again, and with regard to the sampler, the next best thing to the Brown... mweber962000 (41), USA Jun 15, 2008 i tell ya’ll what...t this brewer for its costs with both quality and availabilty is greata. although i never tasted anything superb this poured a dark amber with a creamy head. tasted like i expected. it it overwhelm me? no but its solid. a very good brew that you can get on the cheaper side. shit what else do you all want? i m sur a monk didnt brew it but its worth its due. rampmaster (115), Alden, New York, USA Jun 15, 2008 Presentation: Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass glass. It has nice amber color with good clarity and a thin foamy head that is off white in color. The aroma is light with a pleasant citrus hop scent over a faint malt note. It has a mellow pine and citrus hop tone balanced by a thin malt presence. The palate has a smooth mouth feel with a light to medium body and mild carbonation. Basic, smooth, and safe. It has a simple, never over the top flavor that is enjoyable but not one that you would say I need to get more of that.
