gws57 (995), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA May 2, 2007 Found this one bottled in Sycamore, Illinois. This is a very fine IPA, especially considering it’s inexpensive. Dark, clear reddish brown pour with a nice floral nose, some citrus in the taste. Lots of complexity. Finished strong but clean. I’m impressed. jimhilt (1428), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Apr 5, 2008 Pours a five+ finger white head that fades to a lumpy layer leaving a good lace. Nice crystal clear amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Slight hoppy nose. Flavor is almost sweet piney hops. Slight hoppy finish. Here’s an IPA that doesn’t blow you away with the hops. $1.08 for a 12oz bottle from Capitol Convenience Concord, NH. FROTHINGSLOSH (1513), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 21, 2008 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright caramel-amber color with a large orange-white head. The aroma was moderately sweet and fruity with a touch of pine and resin. The flavor was sweet, fruity, piney and tangy with a sweet nut and caramel malt base and a smooth sweet and hoppy finish. Not very bitter. The hops are somewhat subdued. This is one very easy drinking, sweet and enjoyable if unassertive beer. Remarkable. Codythegreat (111), Carrollton, Georgia, USA Nov 15, 2007 Updated: Mar 29, 2008Pours a dark amber with a white head. Has a strong hoppy aroma. Also has a strong hoppy taste. For me Indian Pale Ales have a very narrow tast difference range so it is very similar to a sweetwater or Dogfishhead IPA. I drank this out of a shaker. mds (2111), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 24, 2005 draught. randallized with amarillo hops. brown-copper body with a frothy off-white head. pine hop aroma and some sweet caramel. sharp pine hoppy body with distant creamy malts. it’s a very nice hoppiness that isn’t over the top like you would expect from such a beast. finish lingers with the aforementioned pineyness. good stuff.
