Gpnterojd (132), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Dec 26, 2007 It’s been far too long since I had an IPA, so my rating may be a little skewed. Pours a light clear amber. Aroma of cotton candy (very sweet malts) and citrusy hops. The flavour is mild... too mild. A bit of sweetness from the malt and a disappointingly small bitter kick from the hops. Pine and oak. Dry finish with a short lived aftertaste. Not bad, not great... but it’s an IPA, so yum.
BlockBrew (95), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA Oct 4, 2008 Pours amber. I got much more malts than hops in this IPA. Nice hope flavor but not to the level of an IPA. A decent beer but not what I was expecting. jimig (23), , Texas, USA Sep 21, 2008 Nice and bitter without complaint. It is very high on the hops, but not too bad. It finishes nicer than A Sierra Nevada Pal Ale. FROTHINGSLOSH (1510), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 21, 2008 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright caramel-amber color with a large orange-white head. The aroma was moderately sweet and fruity with a touch of pine and resin. The flavor was sweet, fruity, piney and tangy with a sweet nut and caramel malt base and a smooth sweet and hoppy finish. Not very bitter. The hops are somewhat subdued. This is one very easy drinking, sweet and enjoyable if unassertive beer. Remarkable. AndrewKScott (407), Lemont, Illinois, USA Sep 21, 2008 Kind of a weird gold color. This is heinous Aroma is very cardboard. Taste has kind of a hop impression, though very watered down. It’s not very good. JMerritt (1110), Macomb, Illinois, USA Sep 18, 2008 Another beautiful pour - dark copper in color with a ginormous pillowy tan head that leaves behind full, sticky lacing. Light aroma - some pine resin and caramel. Flavor is lightly bitter, herbally hops with lightly sweet molasses. Thin palate, slightly watery finish. Overall though, a relatively solid IPA, though I definitely prefer the Dundee American Pale Ale.
