Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
J.W.Lees Brewers Dark continues to be in great demand, despite the downward trend in mild sales. It is a smooth well-rounded light coloured mild with a malty and fruity aroma. The taste is distinctive with a smooth sweet flavour and a dry malty aftertaste.

[Cask at GBBF 2004] A brown beer with no head. The aroma is primarily of chocolate, while the flavor is roasted bitter with notes of coffe, but the body is ofcourse thin - it is a mild. Nice one.

Comments: Very sweet caramel malts clash into the ashey roastiness. Rather chaotic.

Cask@Red Lion BF, Isleworth, London. Funny sort of flavour, quite woody. Deep brown, with ruby edges. Flavour is woody, slightly lactic, some powdered coffee and caramel. Palate is quite thin, and, dare i say it, watery, slightly salty finish. A bit odd.
