Dec 17, 2009 Botella. Clear brown colour. Malty carmel bit grainy aroma. Ok mouthfeel. Pleasant malty flavour with caramel, some dark fruit, mild spice and a mild bitterness.

Dec 13, 2009 Updated: Dec 14, 2009Red brick-emblazoned cardboard tube retailing in Hinckley Tesco at £1.50 in the run up to Xmas, and the only new beer I’ve picked up in that store since the week it opened. The lengths an RB junkie will go to to get their fix. Mercifully, it’s a half decent caramelly BB with a faint rub of hop oiliness about it, not the ghastly pasteurised mess I feared. Bright bronze with a foamy white collar. Aroma caramel, faint herbal and hedgerow traces, sulphur making me question whether it’s been pasteurised at all. Some body and faint fruit; slick and unexciting with dunked Hobnob, pencil shavings and (fittingly) soap in the mix, but nothing much of anything. Disappointing, considering the aroma has some real toffee, hazelnut and hop promise. Brainless entertainment.

Dec 8, 2009 Bottle shared by Pinball. Amber body with a medium off white head. Aroma of toasted malt, toffee, caramel and light fruit. The flavour is light spicy, malty and fruity with caramel and light hoppy notes.

Oct 12, 2009 Bottle. High creamy and lasting off-white head. Clear amber body. Dusty cardboard barley malt aroma with a bit of caramel as well. Pleasant smooth slightly spicy flavor with a fair amount of hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste.
