Dec 23, 2009 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Dark gold with a small white head. Faint, indeterminate aroma. Taste has a watery fruit character: apple and almond? Mid bitter finish. This is a thin, meagre, flaccid, slightly depressing beer. The pumpclip included the adjective ’robust’, which it certainly isn’t.

Clear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, roasted, caramel, apple and nutty notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090805]
