Commercial Description:
Cask; Seasonal - Winter.
A special seasonal ale to finish the year off with a bang and put you in good spirits for christmas. Brewed with a combination of malts to produce a nutty flavour and some Bramling Cross hops for fruitiness and just a hint of blackcurrent. Here's to 2005

Nor sure whether this is a one-off for Christmas 2004/New Year 2005 or will appear on an annual basis. It’s an attractive gingery copper colour. The aroma has toffee and caramel, with a hint of butterscotch and some slightly underdeveloped malt. There’s a reasonable balance of malt and hops on the palate, but no great depth of flavour. A faint citric edge comes through towards the end but the finish is mainly soft and mellow. Marginally thin mouthfeel. Pleasant and easy drinking, but nothing special. Bright bottled from cask (gravity) at Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival 2005.
