Cask Handpump at the Golden Pheasant, Plumley 23/01/2004 Clear golden coloured slightly pale and hoppy. Some wheat flavour. Crisp bitter lasting finish.

One of the best beers Lees have made in a long time, vaguely in the style of a German Kristal. Produced to raise funds to restore a classic deltawing bomber built in Manchester this is a pale beer with the typical Lees nose but with added wheatiness. A strongly flavoured palate with wheat, grain, bitterness and “Lees-ness” before the complex and very moreish finish. Superb and different, very good for a British wheat beer.
