Bell’s newest for the Illinois market. In bottle at Jerry’s. Copper-amber with good, creamy tan head / Spun sugar and melon nose / Medium, super creamy body, with mellow but lush hops, and good finish / Flavors of melon, dry hops, spun sugar, and toasted barley / Said to be a double, but hopping is restrained Terrific, nonetheless.

Aug 28, 2008 12oz bottle shared by heemer77, thanks man. Pours with a clear, dark amber color. The surface coving lacing sits around for a while. Aroma is sweet maltiness with just some light earthy hops peaking through. Taste us sweet caramel with a little leafy aftertaste. A malt centered DIPA and the weird hops don’t stand out as anything special. But overall good stuff I could easily drink.

Aug 27, 2008 Bottles shared by heemer77. Pours a hazy reddish-orange with a light beige cap and sheeting lace. The nose is of lively fruity and floral hops with a nice caramel malt backing. Medium-bodied and lightly grainy on the tongue, it concludes with a dry, bitter finish. Dry, nutty malt and fruity hops transition through to an earthy bitter-hopped finish. An interesting IIPA. It may not be in the same league as Hopslam, but it’s certainly worth trying if you get the opportunity. Thanks for sharing this with us, Eric.

Aug 26, 2008 Big thanks to Heemer77 for this one. 12oz bottle, batch 8513. Aroma is floral and lighty fruity hops, caramel & toffee, and a subtle, slightly aroma that is hard to place. Reddish amber color with a one fingered cream colored head. Good clarity. Active carbonation. The flavor is caramel, toffee, and brown sugar with a very unique flavor that is sort of floral, sort of earthy, nearly reminiscent of rye. A long bitter, but clean, finish with a bit of residual sugar. Lingering fruity, floral, and vegetal flavors. Not my cup of tea

Aug 21, 2008 Amber w/ medium head. Moderately sticky hops bring out some serious bitterness, and the hops have a fairly unique floral quality to them. Mixed well wish some bready malts coming through. Good stuff.

Aug 15, 2008 i am unfammiliar with this breed of hops and they come across in an interesting way in terms of aroma and flavor. everything seems to present itself as well developed malt then the sting of hops rings through reminding you that this is a big beer where hops are king. syurpy mouthfeel reminds you that despite malt seemingly at every turn this is an IIPA for certain. color even is dark red, nearly brown and echoes the flavor. super sticky on the palate, this hangs around as long as the head dissapates, which is more then a few moments.
