Bavarianbeer77 (53), München, Germany Dec 26, 2005 ( Flip-top bottle, 0,33 Litres ) Full and sweet aroma, slight head, viscous and full-dark appearance, like oil, mild body, very well-balanced ( and that is a true artistry, if you look at the alcoholic content ), full-sweet maindrink, that is a real humdinger, one of the best Doppelbocks at all ! --- May 2004 thijs van vlijmen (256), Utrech, Netherlands Oct 24, 2004 A truely great bock beer experience, a very sweet honneulike taste combined with a very nice appearance. All in all very good. jbrus (4117), Delft, Netherlands May 4, 2003 Port, raisin and prune aroma. Ruby color, light brown head, good lace. Very full, sweet, very alcoholic but not annoying, prune and plume. Long lasting finish, thick, alcohol bitterness and a little burn. Liberty (52), Stompwijk, Netherlands Oct 24, 2004 Tasted this beer on the Bockbeer festival in Utrecht, The Netherlands, on draft. On of the German bock beers at the festival. Nice dark-brown color. The head disappeared quickly (might be the glass). The flavour contained lots of alcohol. Nice sweetness (malt sugar). The beer tasted as if it had some ageing (Port/sherry tones) and also had some fruit in the flavour. goozen (740), Leiden, Netherlands Dec 30, 2006 Bottle 0,50 ltr: A heavy bitter brown doppelbock from Kaltenberg. This has a malty, fruity aroma in a goor order of taste.
