Svesse (1818), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 2, 2008 (Draught at Piovarsky Klub, Prague, 19 July 2008) Very dark brown colour with brief, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with lots of chocolate, cocoa and a nice dry bitternes in the finish. Very well balanced dunkel. motelpogo (4124), Plzen, Czech Republic Jan 29, 2008 on tap at the christmas beer festival in prague. very close to black, some roasty coffee flavours, quite dry with some brown sugar, faintly salty, not bad for slovak beer slimchill (656), Austin, Texas, USA Oct 8, 2007 draught (at pivovarsky klub). completely black with a touch of ruby at the thinnest part of the glass. thick, fluffy light brown head. sweet coffee nose with a light hint of chocolate and toffee. flavor is coffee-heavy with less depth than the nose. mouthfeel is chalky, dry. really wish it tasted as nice as it looks and smells.
