Kapuziner Weissbier Kristall-Weizen

Appearance: Dark copper/brownish yellow with moderately long-lasting head. Aroma: Straw, dusty dried grass, notes of floral hop and sour pie cherry. Flavor: Sweet and sour cherry with grilled pear (which showed up later), yeast and roasted grain appear on the mid-palate and follow through on the finish. Palate: Fine balance and integration of bittering hops and malt. Comment: A good, dry food beer. Sour aroma and flavor adds interest.

Tasted at the San Diego International Beer Festival. Clear light yellow with a fizzy white head and a banana bread aroma and taste. Decent.

Uff questa è decisamente inferiore alla sua collega paludosa... l’ho trovata sciacquatissima, peccato perché la Kapuziner Hefe non è mica male.

Draft. Crystal clear gold with a white head. Big on banana, light wheat. Very smooth. Citrusy lemon finish. Not bad - why the kristallhate?

Deep golden beer, white head. Medium complex aroma with wheat, yeast and a little banana. Some underlying malty sweetness. Good carbonation and yet a creamy mouthfeel. Overall very drinkable.

50cl bottle @ gasthof, Southern Germany. Pours clear golden with a large fluffy head. Aroma is of wheat & lots of grain & hay, very lager like with a hint of banana. Crisp. Pleasant!

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big eggshell-coloured foamy head. A bit dusty, liht-sweet, moderately wheaty nose with a restrained fruity touch and notes of cloves and nutmeg. Light bitter flavour, dry malty, moderately wheaty and slightly fruity taste with a whiff of cara-malt; slim bodied although it has an abv of 5.4%; dry and bitter-sweet finish with shy fruity notes. Boring Kristallweizen that lacks fruit-character (29.05.08).

smagt 26/04 2008. Udenmærket sommerøl, ikke så meget smag, lige til at hælde ned.
