Commercial Description:
The most refreshing beer in the world. Malted wheat and special yeast give Kapuziner Weissbier its light touch and distinctive taste - a yeasty tang offset by a solid malt body and a delightful tropical fruitiness. Unfiltered yeast lends a hazy, seductive look.

Bottled from Aachen. Nice unfiltered weize with great looks. Aroma is sour fruit with wheat and minimal yeast. Flavour is citrus and wheat. Finishes very nice with subdued sweetness. Very nice !!

Bottle. Pours a murky honey color with a decent white head. Aromas of clove, banana, and malts on the nose. Analogous flavors. Medium bodied. Tingles a little bit on the front of the tongue. Finishes a little warm. Decent stuff.

Can. A deep orange colored wheat beer with a very tall, fine, foamy white head. Very cloudy. It has a very malty, biscuit like aroma, with just a touch of bananas, much less than usual, and spices. The overwhelming aroma is of wheat malt, though. Light body and carbonation, and a sour taste predominates. There is plenty of wheat malt in the flavor, though. It has an almost citrus like flavor. The finish is actually quite dry and bitter, a little bit sour. It is a pretty good beer, with an interesting balance, but not quite as good as the average Bavarian weizen. It is much thinner, and has a lot less body.

Draught @ the James Joyce, Firenze. Pours cloudy yellow with decent head that lasts. Spicy weissbier aroma of yeast, clove and banana. Similar on the palate, if a little laden and lacking zest. Not bad overall.

I believe I had this on tap at the Bier Stube, or possibly from the bottle, not sure - either way, I wasn’t a big fan, and I usually love weiss beers!
