Commercial Description:
The most refreshing beer in the world. Malted wheat and special yeast give Kapuziner Weissbier its light touch and distinctive taste - a yeasty tang offset by a solid malt body and a delightful tropical fruitiness. Unfiltered yeast lends a hazy, seductive look.

On tap at Spuyten Duyvil on 9/14/07: Pours a cloudy golden bronze with a well-lacing frothy white head. Aroma of sweet malted wheat, banana, clove and bready yeast. Body starts full with nice sweetness and doughy bready yeast and a touch of bitter clove spice. A nice hefeweizen.

Smells of cloves, yeast, citrus with a hint of banana. Poured hazy and golden like a hefe should, with a thick creamy head. Didn’t convey all the flavors the aroma suggested, did get the banana at the end. Light on my tongue, but not one of my favorites.

Think this was Quinn’s although I’m not 100% Bright and golden with a fluffy white head. Fruity wheat and yeast nose, sort of like juicyfruit gum. Taste is much the same with a pineapple banana hint. Slightly thin on the palate. Was ok.
