Commercial Description:
The most refreshing beer in the world. Malted wheat and special yeast give Kapuziner Weissbier its light touch and distinctive taste - a yeasty tang offset by a solid malt body and a delightful tropical fruitiness. Unfiltered yeast lends a hazy, seductive look.

Bottled: Fruity, sourly aroma with citrus notes. Orange color, much carbonation and huge head. Flavor is sweet with fruity notes of cloves, peaches and apricot. Wam, sometimes soapy mouthfeel. A bit light bodied.

good, but it was a shame there was not enough means to get it cold. It was drinkable and very good bubbling.

Bottle (500ml). In my Erdinger hefe glass. Cloudy orange, large lasting off-white foamy head. Aroma of malt, grain and banana, but there’s an oil-based paint tang there that isnt’ quite right, somewhat sour too. Taste is similar - not bad, an odd grassy note for a hefe. Average mouthfeel, grainy, even a hint of astringency. Ehh.

Bottle... "Eastern You’re A Peein’ Lager & Ale Night"... Cloudy yellow ale with a large, rocky, white head. Terrific retention. Fruity, spicy aroma with lots of banana, Bazooka bubblegum, bread dough, clove and broth. Just a rumor of smoke. Sweet, fruity flavor with a little toffee, lemon and peach. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Sweet, fruity finish. Really good for the style, but hefes are not a favorite of mine.

Pours dark golden and cloudy with a nice foamy off-white head. Aroma is citric, fruity with banana and lemon, and a bit spicy from the yeast. The note of pure yeastiness and crisp wheat that sharpens the aroma. Taste is dry, wheat centric, with mild fruity esters that are more spicy than fruity. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, smooth, and slightly creamy with lively foamy carbonation. If you’re in the mood for a fruity hefeweizen, look elsewhere. If you want a refreshing beer, this is a good one.

Poured a cloudy golden color with a weak initial head, actually quite week for a hefe. The aroma was bananas and cloves with a dry finish, somewhat of a non-cloying flavor. This beer was pretty enjoyable for a hefe, very drinkable. Mouthfeel was moderate, not heavy, not cloying, just very drinkable. Two thumbs up, although not outstanding.

Bottle. Golden cloudy colour with a huge white mostly lasting head. Aroma and flavour of wheat, yeast and fruits. Good hefeweizen.
