Has the usual estery, banana and clove character. But there’s a pronounced lemony edge to the flavour which provides balance and grip, preventing it from getting too sweet and blowsy, which I find with too many hefeweizens. Very drinkable

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 28, 2005 Hazy yellow color with a large froth. Vibrant clove, vanilla and banana aromas, with light hints of caramel, tart winter wheat, toffee and sweet tarts. Big body for a weiss, with a noticeable alcohol flavor. Rich and juicy flavor, doughy and loaded with malt and yeast flavors. Vanilla, caramel, toffee, clove and banana. It’s very soft and balanced and isn’t tart in the flavor at all, which I like. Very nice, probably my favorite hefeweizen thusfar. Keeper (164), Milano, Italy

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Jul 7, 2005 Can. Orange golden color with decent head which settles quickly. Aroma is typical of the style with some banana. Flavor is wheaty, some banana but too watery. No palate. I did however manage to drink quite a lot of these during the evening. Not the worst beer to get drunk on.. IPFreely (1470), Lewiston, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 7, 2005 Bottle. Lots of fruity esters in the aroma, abundant banana, some lemon, and some yeast. Hazy deep golden color, firm snow white head. The lemon comes through in the flavor a bit more than I would have liked. Refreshing, yet creamy body. Pretty nice.
