With it’s mix of caramel and vanilla scents it smells like root-beer. This is a beer I would have with some grilled meat. Very mellow but good. Not very complex. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Opaque orange-gold, lasting light head, bit of lace....hugely sweet banana-vanilla-caramel nose, cinnnamon and ginger over the more common clove spicing....body fairly sugary, lightly yeast, caramelized bananas luscious in a vanilla creme bath....very full through to the end, slight metallic character and wateriness keep this from greatness but its far above average. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 1, 2005 This was a very solid hefe. Light golden in color, slightly hazy, with a massive bright-white head. Young banana aroma with cloves and vanilla bean. Flavor was a tad lighter than I would have liked, but the mellow yeastiness and slight citris (mandarin oranges) was still very tasty. I’d have this again. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

Nose is wheat, light citrus, bubblegum, spices, and some sugary notes. Light yeast as well. Taste is a sweeter German hefeweizen. Wheat, sweet malts, bubblegummy notes, light yeast and mild citrus. Body is light and refreshing. Mildy carbonated feel to it. Finish is lighter wheat and yeast, some lemon pie, light bubblegum and spice. Delicious hefeweizen! Dorqui (1365), Brescia, Italy
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 2, 2005 Dense, creamy and adherent foam; optimal persistence. Yellow pale color, veiled and extremely torbid. Much effervescent and movement. Determined and strong scent; rumors of wine cellar, malt and mildew. Typical of the weiss. Fresh and refreshing taste. Pungent and spiced. Determined and pleasant bitter, much balanced one. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark
