Commercial Description:
The most refreshing beer in the world. Malted wheat and special yeast give Kapuziner Weissbier its light touch and distinctive taste - a yeasty tang offset by a solid malt body and a delightful tropical fruitiness. Unfiltered yeast lends a hazy, seductive look.

Shared this one w/ oldrtybastrd. Picked up at Toom Getränke in Kaiserslautern. Pours a hazy golden orange. Aromas of bread/clove/ and some fruit. Had a taste of yeasty bread with some spice.

500 ml. bottle on 10/12/2008. Cloudy gold, sturdy white head of medium size, but good durability. The expected clove aroma does not disappoint, some lemon like citrus notes, yeast, and some sweet grain make solid contributions. Light to medium body, medium carbonation, clean, dry palate that results from some acidity and gentle hop bitterness. Honey flavors initially, faint wheat based sourness, and a somewhat harsh bitterness at the finish. A decent hefeweizen, but not my favorite by any means.

Bottle. Hazy with golden colour. Big foamy white head. Lots of bubbles. Yeasty and natural grassy aroma. Lots of orange in the flavor. Strange dry and almost neutralising finish.

[Bottle from Bamberg.] Compared with the other ratings this must have been a bad bottle. I had to drain it caused by the intense metallic flavor.

Large white head with good lacing crowns the cloudy, golden body. Yeasty aroma with soft fruit and light spicyness trailing behind. Smooth, wheaty, yeasty, lemony, fruity flavors with spices in the aftertaste. Creamy, medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel with a touch of sweetness that gives way to a mildly sour, mid length finish.

500 ml bottle. Hazy orange-yellow colour, thick white head. Sweetish aroma of banana, yeast and citrus. Flavour is very much like the aroma. Simple but very drinkable.

(500 ml bottle from 1828 Vintage House) Pours cloudy grayish gold with a very tall white frothy head in my weizen. Aroma of banana, caramel, brown sugar and hops. Mouthfeel smooth but maybe a touch thin for style. Flavor of banana, citrus, brown sugar and caramel. Maybe a light hint of pepper in finish. Not super rich but has a nice refined taste.
