Commercial Description:
Previously known as "Schwarzer Woipertinger".
Wie ein Woipertinger hat das dunkle Weißbier von Vielen etwas, zum spritzig blumigen Weißbieraroma kommt auch noch eine malzige, süßliche Komponente dazu.

Thick and muddy in the glass. With a super-thick head. Obvious banana and spicy clove to the nose with a light green herbal quality to it. Chocolate milk and menthol do not make for the happiest of marriages in the mouth. In fact I would say this one was downright abusive. Smooth and round in texture. Weird looking and very lacking.

Muddy brown with a lasting off-white head. Fruity aroma with some banana. Sweetish fruity flavour with a little yeast

Cask Stillage at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 07/08/2009 Banana fruit aroma. Dark coloured smooth on the palate and hazy in appearance with a crisp and slightly dry pale malt finish.

Murky dark brown colored, little yellow head, not very beautiful indeed. Aroma has banana with grains dominating, some yeast and fruity lemon also here. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is similar with grains coming up, banana and thin spices also here. Aftertaste dries with yeast.

Draught, one-third pint. It is not a pretty sight, the body content looks like muddy water. The aroma is much more inviting with a discreet smell of berries and late fruits. Juicy malts in flavour with vanilla sweetness partial retarded by bitter spices. Medium bodied (GBBF, 04.08.2009).

Hideous murky greyish brown with an off white head, so ugly in fact that it scores a rare 1 for appearance. Aroma is by contrast a delightful sweet clovey banana, white the taste is malty with wheatiness and hazelnut. Slight dryness. A very nice beer if you drink it in the dark.

Bottle, bought @ Ambrosetti, Berlin.
Pours muddy orange-brown with a medium, frothy, off-white head. Aroma has sweet caramel, some banana, a bit citric, some slight rye. Low carbonation for a hefe, a tad watery perhaps. Flavour is sweet, some chocolate, a bit of banana, rye bread and yeast. Flavour-wise okay.

from beerangel.de - cloudy brown colour with a stable beige head; aroma of yeast, marzipan and vinegar, unclean; medium-bodied at best, sweet and sour; sourish and citrusy finish - not sure if this is supposed to taste like this ...
