Hermod (247), Vantaa, Finland Oct 5, 2009 330ml bottle. Taste of smoke, but too thin and artifical. Amber colour, small foam. Average beer, nothing special. gyllenbock (238), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 21, 2009 Brownish color, much like mahogany. Bright, white foam, which disappeared rather quickly. The smell was pretty weak, a bit of smoke and wet trees and some hay.
There was little taste of smoked ham and sausages but not that much of it. The beer was also quite thin and the aftertaste quite weak. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Aug 21, 2009 Bottle 50cl. [ Trade by oh6gdx ]. Clear light to medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white grey head. Aroma is moderate malty, keller, light smoke - rubber. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090626] ilves (30), Finland Aug 14, 2009 Dont drink this beer at home - u could get disappointed. Head for the woods and enjoy it in the wilderness of Finland. It’ s the only way to discover this beer’s real magic! In my opinion one of the best beers worldwide so far but only if consumed in a proper manner! MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Jul 10, 2009 Bottle, 6.0%. OK smoky aroma. Grey amber colour. Very small white head. The flavour is OK smoky. Distinct, but well-balanced smoke note. Thin mouthfeel, but OK for the style. The finish is a little dry. OK effort, but not quite a brilliant smoked. madsberg (4873), Søborg, Denmark Jun 29, 2009 Bottled (Thx. to jutuahol for bringing it to B’lore). Amber coloured. Clear. Small dense off white head. Sweetness, caramel, light meaty smokiness in the aroma. Flavour is smoky with a fruity and sweet touch. Medium bodied. Quite dry. Has a nice smoky sweetness in the end with a touch of caramel. Actually quite pleasant . Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 25, 2009 Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Timo. Clear amber golden with a dense white head. Sulphurous with fat Bamberg smoke in the nose. Medium body, some caramel, a little sulphur and very distinct smoke accents - a little burned rubber perhaps. Lightly bitter finish. But not bad at all. 090609 yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 9, 2009 33 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Light earthy, cornish and vague caramelish aroma with a distinct smoke note. Solid smoked flavoured, mild citrusy and sweet too. Ends with a lingering mix of sweetness and smoke.
