Head for the woods and enjoy it in the wilderness of Finland. It’ s the only way to discover this beer’s real magic! In my opinion one of the best beers worldwide so far but only if consumed in a proper manner! Kavu (112), Jyväskylä, Finland
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 12, 2009 Pours darkish brown with a thin head. Aroma has some roasted malts and some smoke, although less than I expected. The flavor is a very easy combination of malts and mild smoke. Rauchbier fans might be insulted but this is my favourite smokebeer yet. Bov (5495), Bienne, Switzerland

Sulphurous with fat Bamberg smoke in the nose. Medium body, some caramel, a little sulphur and very distinct smoke accents - a little burned rubber perhaps. Lightly bitter finish. But not bad at all. 090609 FatPhil (3483), Espoo, Finland

Served what lager-drinkers would call "warm", practically at our request. Very soft sweet smoky aroma, quite bready. Taste follows that - it’s very sweet, but not at all sticky. The aroma and taste remind me of something to do with breakfast when I was a kid, but I don’t remember precisely what. Not a big rauch in any way, but high on the drinkability stakes. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 10, 2009 Bottle, 6.0%. OK smoky aroma. Grey amber colour. Very small white head. The flavour is OK smoky. Distinct, but well-balanced smoke note. Thin mouthfeel, but OK for the style. The finish is a little dry. OK effort, but not quite a brilliant smoked. fonefan (11878), VestJylland, Denmark
