Bottle. This pours a nice amber color with a good malty aroma. This is a sweet beer, medium body, and easy to drink. The taste is subtle, but good. This is an enjoyable beer.

Tap - Smells sweet and tastes a bit sweet. This would make a decent session beer and I think that’s the goal. It’s pretty good, but I’m not too impressed.

(12 oz bottle: Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) So, this isn’t a great beer, but given my overall experience with this local brewery, the Amber Lager is one of the few I kind of like. Moderately sweet caramel, grain and corn make up the base, and only a slight bitterness crashes the malty party. Medium in body, I guess, maybe just a touch under. Caramely and grainy nose is rather appealing. The body is a deep amber color, fully clear in appearanced, and is topped by a typical off-white head that settles to a ring. An easy drinking beer with decent flavor for those times when you just don’t wanna have to think too much about what you’re drinking. Good session lager for me.

My adopted hometown favorite.nice amber color with a decent head. Sweet and simple, nothing offensive. Great as an everyday beer and available everywhere in SD

Pours a med. amber with a soapy white head. Aroma is light cookie maltiness. Flavor is oxidized and soapy with some malty sweetness and a fair amount of spicy hopiness. Med-light body. Finish is clean and uneventful.

Draft. Nice looking amber color. Aroma was sweet smelling. Flavor was rather simple, slightly sticky and on the sweet side. Not too bad, but not very exciting either.

Draft. Nice orangey gold. White head does not last. Smells remind me of old caramel candies. Slickly sweet yet full. A notch up from generic. Kind of filling. Don’t see myself drinking this in multiples. Does not seem balanced.
