Pours a nice amber color. Tastes a little bit of caramel. Has a slight licorice type flavor. Easy drinking but not great.

Light aroma; dry and hoppy flavor. Nicely done. To date, this is the best Karl Strauss beer that I have sampled. Found on tap at home in San Diego.

Watery looking, amber/copper. Very small, white head. Smells nearly of nothing, maybe soapy malt. Light malt/vegetable taste with minimal coffee hop kick. Aftertaste is nill. Sampled on tap at the Los Angeles Int’l Airport.

On tap at the United Terminal at LAX. This was ok. Nothing spectacular. Not much aroma at all. No head. Some barley and light fruit notes. Simple, easy, nothing to write home about.

Draught at the Karl Strauss/Old Columbia Grill, San Diego. Not much aroma, no head. Fairly friendly, Vienna style beer. Restrained but drinkable. Barley sugar flavouring, moments of tartness & spice on a crispy base. Very clean.

light orange tinted amber color with a very nice head of tiny bubbles born to weave artistic lace...the aroma had crisp lagerness to it with slight overripe fruit notes, and maybe a hint of salt..salty clean lager with slight crisp hop notes and a slight caramelly spiciness..kind of reminds me of Sam Adams lager..kind of.

Draft. A very clean tasting beer with a watery palate. The flavor is subtle and smooth, and very far from being complex. Simple, easy drinking, a not exciting whatsoever, but it accomplishes its purpose.

Clear, light amber appearance. Nose shows some sweet caramel. Easy drinking palate, definite caramel flavors, very light nutty/toasted flavors. Clean on the finish with a very light hop content.
