| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 30, 2008 Tap at La Jolla location. Deep amber colour. Aroma is quite spicy and fruity. A bit of plumminess and a soft toasted rye component. Lightly fruity and malty. A touch of black pepper and a touch of booziness. Soft and chewy with a light clovey character. As it warms, a nice raisiny baked christmas pudding component comes to the fore. Really much better than I expected and a pretty solid dubbel. BückDich (4854), McCall, Idaho, USA
