Apr 25, 2006 Sweetness of this one was subdued, Abit of hop flavor to it, very nice drinking. One of my favorite Strauss beers. on tap at Universal.

Mar 12, 2006 Draught at Karl Strauss La Jolla: Pours an amber color with light head and lacing. The nose is husky with some sweet syrupy caramel and bright grassy hops. The flavor is really strong with husky malts and strong metallic lagerish qualities. The finish is thin and it has a medium body. Eh.

Apr 28, 2005 Amber mahogany in color with a minimum amount of head. Nose is mostly malt. Sweet malt flavor makes this a overall well marzen that i wouldnt mind drinking again.

Apr 3, 2004 Character dominated by the house yeast. Caramely, butterscotchy, malty flavor, with a touch of hop, European stlye. Good session beer.
