It is malty, though it does have a subtle, hoppy aftertaste. Pours a beautiful golden color with a medium white frothy head. Nice, but not huge, lacing. An excellent Lager overall. I’ve only tried the bottle, I should get my lazy butt down to Karl’s and give it a try on tap! 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA

I didn’t notice the robust malt character, but it was a good beer. The best I’ve had yet from Karl Strauss. chargerfanjess (116), San Diego, California, USA
