durhambeer (411), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jul 8, 2008 Bottle, tasted 4 months after the "Best by..." date. Slightly dark golden pour, minimal head that doesn’t last long. Not much to smell on the nose. A little malt, a grain/corn aroma. More malt on the tongue, and more grain... almost bready. For a lager, hell, this was pretty darn good.
Finn (1083), Tromsř, Norway Sep 2, 2008 Bottle 0,25l. Pale golden colored. A small creamy head. Modest malty aroma. Watery impression. Some malty hints in the finish. mmm///beer (540), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 16, 2008 16.9 oz bottle poured into my insomniac stein- poured transparent thin golden yellow, medium carbonation, I had high hopes in the head that started at one finger but quickly bubbled away in one minute. Aroma of powdered sugar, corn, and rainfall (it’s not the stein- poured into 2 different containers from bottle- same result). HIts the mouth with a thin body, I say hello to the malt and the malt says goodbye, one single hop used in the whole barrel on the finish- good for the hop crisis I guess. Good thing- another country. Bad thing- still wide awake. DandyWolfFloyd (231), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 11, 2008 Very pleasent. It’s aroma is of a well balanced lager, not to bittered, nor to malted. It’s a clear yellow color, with a nice fluffy white head. It’s flavor is very balanced, with a nice hint of mild sweet malts. It’s a very smooth lager. A nice simple brew. DruncanVeasey (1631), Burbage, Leicestershire, England Aug 1, 2008 Tap, konobo Jerko, Primosten. The best beer in Croatia according to the waiter. Hmm. Bright and spritzy. Metallic, faintly grassy aroma. Popcorn, grass and metal. Washes down grilled shark with garlic and spinach very nicely, hvala. Lick of card. Refreshing (5.4%?!) with a pleasant bitterness. Sensible, industrial/international type pivo with no off-notes and nothing to distinguish it. armando629 (389), Budapest, Hungary Jul 28, 2008 Avarage lager with a pale yellow body and a small delicious white head. Bottom fermentation in the nose with some floral-grassy hop. The flavor is all the same. An other beer to the croatian beach.
