MoritzF (3926), Ruhrpott, Germany Dec 26, 2006 (33cl bottle, traded with Saarlander) Clear, dark amber colour with a small foamy tanned head. Shy aroma: slightly sweet and dusty toasty malt with caramel. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Strong dark malty taste, toasted with caramel and light fruity notes (dried fruits); medium-dry, malty and minimal-bitter finish. tjthresh (1322), Greenfield, Indiana, USA May 8, 2006 Poured into a tankard. Pourd kind of a reddish, brownish, ruby garnet color with a think tan head. Rather bready aroma. Typical imported smell. Dry caramel on the palate. Very little hop character, and very clean fermentation character. Finishes with a bit of roasted bitterness. Easy to drink. Thanks to Saarlander. barleyPops (1064), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA Apr 25, 2006 thanks to Saarlander ( Aaron ) for the bottle. dark reddish brown with a short lived head. aroma is of caramel and bread. caramel flavor is not as sweet as it smells. dry finish, nice bock. pivo (2488), Germany Mar 12, 2006 Big grainy, bready caremelly nose, Dark clear brown, fluffy beige head.
