steview (744), Oceanside, California, USA Dec 13, 2005 can / somewhat light, refreshing; grassy, slightly cremey; not much flavor. something for the big party, etc., not much going on, but if you’re drunk already, then wooh! let the party really sink in. this liquid, bready dessert really bites! Cornfield (4255), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA May 17, 2005 500ml can: Pours a clear golden color with a slender white head. Excellent carbonation. The aroma is fairly grainy, a light malt, and fairly lightly hopped for a pilsener. A sweet maltiness penetrates into the flavor and the light floral hops just give a short nip on the finish. Not a bad drink, but I wouldn’t have taken it for a pils. JPDIPSO (4217), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Mar 5, 2005 Light golden color with a small but stable white lid. Decent lace. Pale malt aromas with a touch of noble hops. Aromas more in the lines of a helles lager than a pils. Flavor right in line with a helles lager as well, with pale malt, and lemon grass hops. A touch salty in the finish and a clean near crisp linger. A simple picnic brew. Slick (1956), Minnesota, USA Feb 27, 2005 Nice golden color, small white head that had a good hang time then faded slowly to leave a slight lace behind. The aroma was grainy and sorta sweet with a light hop presence in there to go along with the lemony hints. The flavor was not bad, grainy at first with just a bit of what seemed like maybe burnt caramel or something. Then towards the middle it sweetens up a bit and a mild hop showing towards the end.Not bad but then again not great eather, but it’s worth a try. TerryR (381), Oswego, Illinois, USA Jan 4, 2005 500 ml can. Light golden color with a fluffy white head. Good lacing. Aroma of malt and mild hop. Medium bodied with a crisp finish. Nicely balanced. A pretty good German pils at a nice price.
