M0RHI (1000), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Aug 5, 2008 Golden to straw with a thick bubbly white head. Slightly dry and sharp nose, which is emphasised in the dry hoppy bitterness present throughout. Perhaps a bit of fusty cardboard in the palate. Standard really, not as good as the UrPils. rickgordon (3060), Göteborg, Sweden Jun 6, 2007 Canned. Thanks to ekstedt.
Pale golden colour. Frothy head. Pale malty, dusty aroma. Dusty pale malty flavour, with marked bitterness, that lasts pretty long. MoritzF (3690), Ruhrpott, Germany Dec 25, 2006 (bottle, traded with Saarlander) Clear, pale golden colour with a small foamy white head, leaving some lace. Slightly sweet grainy aroma with a tinge of herbal hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, crispy mouthfeel. Initially soft malty, slightly herbal; dry and slightly bitter finish with light notes of herbal hops. Unspectacular. SHIG (1484), Oberoffligen, Germany Mar 4, 2006 Golden color with white bubbly head. Smelt very skunky with a grainy taste. Ordinary beer! Saarlander (1454), The Saarland, Germany Dec 16, 2004 Way to watery for me, I´m a fan of Karlsberg, but this beer tastes like alot of american beers, it needs more hops, I like Ur-pils much better.
