Brightly hopped with a decent gritty malt spine. One of the better IPAs from the area in a while. Wallup of hops in the finish left mouth bitter and sweet feeling. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA

Lingering on the palate, a great bitter aftertaste. Cookie dough maltiness, with a great fruit rind hoppiness, reminscent of fresh apricots, and pine needles. Well balanced, a refreshing change. zoecara (1), sandy, Oregon, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 26, 2006 Just got back from the pup, it’ a mile walk from my house. This ale is the best IPA I’ve ever tasted. Very fresh in the hops department. Well rounded flavor and body with a good head. wonderful aftertaste that lingers for the next half hour. Color a bit dark for a IPA but expected for the malt density. It’s a bit soft on the hops, but the ’Dry Hop’ version is much better. Both are available.
