Bottle. Weak aroma, a little vinous. Almost totally black colour, very little head. Very malty and chocolaty flavour, a little sweet liquorice. Chocolate aftertaste. Not very bitter. Very nice beer.

Kasparus started brewing again in 2005 after a 4-year sabbatical and one of the results is this stout (stouterd means bad boy in Dutch). The beer is almost black with a fine small brown head. Aroma is pretty weak, but gives away some roasted malts. Taste is more than ok, sweet fudgy/caramelly taste, finishes off with a (bit too) gentle bitterness from roasted malt that keeps lingering as the beer warms up. Mediumbodied. Far from bad for such a small brewery, actually: it was a surprisingly tasty beer.
