Jul 9, 2008 A nice dark cherry appearance with dark cherry aroma, very little head, sweet dark cherry taste and nice smooth finish, not as effervescent or smooth as some other belgian lambics, but a nice desert beer to have with twix bars, kinda like a alchoholized cherry pepsi.

Jul 9, 2008 2008-06-26 from bottle: Cherry and chocolate aroma with candy sugar notes. Deep to medium red with white head. Very sweet, with lots of cherry…brandy finish. Somewhat thin.

Jul 6, 2008 11.2 ounce bottle purchased at Burgers ’N Brew in Davis, CA. I cannot say I have ever seen this beer for sale before. Aroma has plenty of cherries with some vinous wine-like properties present. A bit spicy with some Fruit Roll-Up-like aromas. Smells goooood. Transparent garnet-ruby body with a small, light puce head. Scant lacing present. Starts a bit tart and astringent with enough sweet cherry flavors to back it up. A little spicy in the middle with some vinous wine-grapey flavors. A bit of a dry finish. Tasty.

Jul 1, 2008 An 11.2 fl. oz. bottle served in a wine glass (for lack of a tulip, as suggested on the label).
The aroma is very sweet smelling, with the slightest hint of alcohol which hits you in the back of the nose, near where the nose taps into the mouth and lungs.
A poured glass reveals a quick-to-disappear, thin, pink head, and a burgundy colored, almost opaque liquid. The flavor is akin to a cherry seltzer water. There is also a slight chocolate taste, making the beer taste like a cherry Tootsie Roll Pop.
The palate revealed a light body, with lots of fizz/carbonation, contributing to the "seltzer water" impression. Slightly bitter finish.

Jul 1, 2008 Updated: Dec 20, 2008Pours a deep, ruby color with a reddish head. Excellent rich, cherry aroma that you will want to savor several times. Slightly bittersweet, cherry flavor with a nice, long finish. Every mouthful is a delight - black cherries in an abundance of flavor.

Jun 29, 2008 On tap at Flying Saucer in Charlotte, NC. Rated on 3/7/08. Pours a dark brown to black thinnish red-pink head. Smells very fruity, almost like grape juice. Strong raspberry and blackberry notes with a strong tart finish. Not my type of beer but good for the style.

Jun 23, 2008 Bottle, thx to fonefan. It pours a clear, glowing ruby body with a nice pinkish head. Almond and cherry dominates the aroma. The flavor is much the same, with some sourness added. Fizzy and sticky mouthfeel. Slightly sour finish with cherry and almond. This one didn’t impress at all. It’s way too fizzy and lacks complexity. Not that it has to be complex, but a little bit more would have been nice. (080412)
