Feb 11, 2008 Draft at Eulogy in Philly. Pours deep cherry brown with a pale pink head. Strong aroma of cherry kool aid powder. As far as flavor, it pretty much matches the aroma. Cherries and malt. There is a fair amount of sweetness, and very little tartness, making this the perfect beer for the girls (or Cheapdark). Not much complexity going on, and perhaps an "alcopop" from the beer snob standpoint. I enjoyed it, but I think it needs some sourness or bitterness to get it to the next level.

Feb 11, 2008 From a bottle (Rouge) poured amber/pink with pinkish head. Very sweet cherry flavor, with some tartness.

Feb 10, 2008 750 ml bottle dated 1/07 from West Lakeview Liquors in Chicago. Dark brown with red tint, tiny brown head. Lots of sweet/sour cherry aroma and slight earthiness. Sweet dirty Michigan red cherries, it’s like I can even taste the pits, slight earthiness, tart, very nice. Medium bodied and well carbonated. Very nice.

Feb 10, 2008 Bottle, Kulminator. Dark ruby, thin off-pink head. Nose is sweet cherry, glace, spicy and cinnamon. Mouth is sweet spicy herby and connamon, lightly burnt, lasting sweet end. Bit 1D, very sweet and good.

Pours a dark reddish brown with a small pink head. Aroma of Cherry. Nice sweet cherry taste on this one with very little sourness. Delicious!

Feb 6, 2008 Rouge bottling. Medium towards deep brownish amber with reddish highlights and a slightly pinkish head. Aroma was cherry lifesavers, but not cloying. Flavor was also cherry lifesavers with a very faint tartness on the finish to prevent it from being cloying. This was better than it should have been.

Feb 5, 2008 Bottle. Poured a very dark brownish red with not much of a head, but what’s there is slightly pink. Aroma smells like a cherry life saver, more sweet than fruity. Taste is slightly tart and very sweet to start and the tartness takes over the finish. A tad bit of real fruity sourness begins to come out after a while. An interesting brew.

Feb 5, 2008 Pours bright red into a trappist glass. Pink head subsides to hug rim leaving no lacing. Cherry aromas...and cherries from front to a slight tart middle and a malty back. Sticky and sweet overall...not for me.
