Jan 28, 2008 Wow, this was a surprise. It’s really, really good. Huge cherry nose, as one might expect. Deep, rich cherry flavor - almost decadent. Cherries mix nicely with some chocolate and a subltle, mellow bitterness. On tap, Thirsty Monk, Asheville.

Jan 27, 2008 On tap @ 1702 - Pours a dark reddish-purple color with a thin light pink head. Has a cherry cough drop aroma. Flavor is tart cherry. Light bodied. A pleasant, easy drinking beer. A nice suprise.

Jan 26, 2008 750 bottle is a mixtue of possably my two favorite things on earth cherries and a sour the first thing that comes to mind as i pour this is cherry juciy juice man does this have a very heavy cherry nose the 8% abv is hidden well this beer is all about the cherries cherries cherries and more of it i can see how this will upset some people but its fine with me i cant say enough how much i like this beer

Jan 26, 2008 Nose of cherry and yeast. Pours a deep ruby red beer with a small disappearing pink head, light bodied and sticky. Taste is of cherries, vinegar, malt, cloves and spices. Bitter sweet finish. Considering I am not a fan of cherry this is quite good.

Jan 22, 2008 Holy %$&#, is really what I said after the first taste. I get the added cherries but the cherry juice added part is what had me wondering. Pours a darker, but clear, ruby with fine pink head. I dig the aroma, very strong of fresh cherries. I can’t really taste any belgian ale here... seriously just tastes like cherry juice. This is by far the most SERIOUS fruit beer I’ve tried. I would love to try a belgian ale with some cherry flavor, sounds like a good idea, but this is just cherry juice all the way. Somewhat medicianal and bitter. Palate is velvety, wonderfully smooth carbonation, medium-full body, however, just a tad too syrupy.

Jan 15, 2008 Draught: Aroma of cherries, sour mix, funk, medicine, vomit, and blue cheese. Poured dark orange/red in color with a huge, foamy, pink head that lasted throughout. Clear. Excellent lacing. Sweet flavor. Tastes of cherry, funk, and medicine. Medium body. Thin, oily texture. Soft carbonation. Dryish, metallic finish. Better than I had expected.
