| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 26, 2007 The aroma is fantastic because of the cherries. It is sweet and not the least bit tart which is what I expected. The appearance is maroon with a small head. The flavor is bitter and sweet with cherries. The palate is a bit thin. Overall this is pretty good. thenick (744), North Bellmore, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 24, 2007 Tap @ Monk’s Cafe, Philadelphia. Pours a deep reddish-brown with a pinkish head. Aroma is strong cherry with a bit of almond and malt detectable (likely from the cherry pits). Taste is strong cherry, dissolving into carbonation with a bit of an alcohol aftertaste. I was surprised at the effervescence of this beer. Heavily fruit beers are not usually my bag, but this was pretty good. ElGaucho56 (390), USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 21, 2007 Sampled @ GDBTF. Pours a disturbing pink red color with pinkish foam. Very strong cherry aroma, like a jolly rancher. Thin and prickly on the palate, alcohol ends up making it taste like dimetapp. No thank you. Arayaga2 (964), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 21, 2007 Dark red and beautiful with a thin pink head. Aroma is very cherry... rather like a cherry soda, really. Taste is also very cherry, with hints of vanilla. Reminds me of dissolved sweet-tarts, though certainly more sweet than tart. Mouthfeel is strange, perhaps undercarbonated, and alcohol is in no way apparent. $3.50/11.2oz hophead75 (1954), Boonton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 21, 2007 on tap at Eulogy. Muddy reddish brown with a pink head. Aroma is sweet maraschino(sp?) cherries and little else. Taste is very sweet with a ton of cherry, has a light tartness but it’s still too cloying for my tastebuds...Alcohol very well hidden though. badlizard (2345), Berkeley, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 14, 2007 on tap at Brouwers. Sweet cherry aroma with a dark Burgundy appearance. Flavor is of sweet dark cherries. The alcohol is cleverly concealed. I was not expecting much but this beer is a knockout.
