| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 28, 2007 Bottled (as Kasteel Rouge) at Stockholm Beer Festival. Deep ruby, rich head. Concentrated cherry aroma. Sweet and very powerful. The intense richness of the Kasteel meets tart juicy cherries. It’s still very sweet, and it’s not that complex - still I find myself intensely enjoying it. An unusual beer that deinitely serves a purpose. fonefan (11866), VestJylland, Denmark

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 10, 2007 Bottle, 8%. Very sweet cherry aroma. Very deep, dark red colour. Almost no head. Fat cherry flavour, very sweet, with a little berry bitterness. Not exactly revolting, but it seems a bit like other commercial krieks. It does not taste its ABV. oh6gdx (9047), Vasa, Finland

Aroma is rather sweet cherries, but at the same time some mild sour notes lurking in the background. Quite real cherries in both aroma and flavour. Except for cherries the flavour also has some sweet malts and only slight sour notes. More a sweet cherry beer than sour one, making it very refreshing. joergen (8627), Frederiksberg, Denmark
