BoBoChamp (618), Gent, Belgium Jul 21, 2008 33cl, new brew Anno 2008, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex, yet easy to drink, clear, good head, good brew JorisPPattyn (4262), Antwerpen, Belgium Jul 10, 2008 Draught Huge off-white, very fine & dense head; orange beer. Very fruity & spicy nose, some citrus, fresh-smelling. Strangely oxydized cookie/malt taste with citrus lining. Chaff, cookies and maybe honey. Feels more carbonated than it looks. Medium bodied, slick. Bit strange - the beer is new, fresh and yet tastes of oxydated malts. It’s still not an easy-drinking brew, despite the reduced ABV. bierkoning (4691), La Tropica, Netherlands Jul 3, 2008 Bottle. Blonde. Sugary aroma with a hint of flowers. Dry, somewhat perfumed grainy flavor. Fairly thin and alcoholic, in spite of the fairly modest ABV. Mediocre. stouby (1444), Holbaek, Denmark May 5, 2008 Bottle at De Kleine Post.
Orange with a beige head. Aroma moderate malty (caramel, coriander), yeasty and hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet and bitter/acidic. Thin body despite the strength.
