Draught at TND: Aroma is sweet with notes of yeast, spices, alcohol, medicine, malts, and sugar. Poured brown with a ruby hue in color and a small tan head. Clear. Sparkling. Small lacing. Flavor is medium to very sweet. Tastes of malts, caramel, maple syrup, candi sugar, and slight chocolate. Light to medium body. Thin, watery texture. Soft carbonation. Dry, sweet, sugary finish.

Pours a deep dark brown, cola color, with almost no head. Aroma of carmel and bananna. Taste is sweet, carmel, raisan, warm alcohol, This is a very nice BSA.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown, very little head. Nose is not too distinct, slightly sweet and toffee, as well as smells of alcohol a bit. Taste is very sweet, and complex, with bitterness coming in the middle before returning to a sweet finish. Nice complex beer, too sweet for me.

Split bottle with fatboy on January 16, 2009. Dark brown color with red hues. Clean body, nice light brown head. Banana/spice aroma with yeast. Not as caramelly as most Belgian brunes I’ve had... much more sour. Very sweet - cherry, molasses. Slick and thick going down. Leaves a sweet and sticky residue on the lips. Best enjoyed when warmed up a little...

Pours dark brown with reddish hues and a fully receding tan head. Aroma of higher alcohols, esters, bubble gum, pineapple, brown sugar. Mouthfeel is heavy with lush carbonation.

Dégusté avec french tickler le 16 octobre 2006. I had to buy a case of this gem... Very sweet subtile aromas, Caramel / toffee... Exploding sweet complexe flavors hard to pinpoint exactly ... There’s the obvious taste of alcohol in this 11% brown beauty but it doesn’t over power... Fanstaticly well balanced beer!

Pours dark brown with a medium sized head. Aroma is sweet and malty, lots of brown sugar, very slight roastiness. Notes of dried fruits, raisins and caramel. Alcohol is very well hidden. Smooth and full mouthfeel.

This was from a 750 ml bottle.Poured a dark amber with a nice tan head.Aromas were of brown sugar, malt molassas. The taste was sweet and almost like some wines with hints of cherry and plum. For some reason I did not think it was that great, maybe a little too sweet.
