Yuk. Way too sweet for me. Nice malt and toffee aroma, but the taste made me gag.

Bottle at St. Veronus. Dark pour into a trappist glass. Nose was acidic, with hints of cardamom, some other spices I couldn’t make out, and heavy amounts of sugar with a touch of alcohol. Taste was sweet. Large amounts of brown sugar, cider, plums and licorice finish. This was a wonderful beer, but a tad too sweet for my liking. Definitely a worthwhile brew.

This beer looks like dirty apple cider. It is sweeter than apple cider. This beer is incredibly sweet. It’s too sweet for my taste. It’s like a dessert beer.

Dark brown with tiny head. Sweet malty aroma with fruit and toffee notes. Very sweet flavor with hints of plums, brown sugar, chocolate and malt. Well hidden alcohol that warms in the end.

From a 33cl brown bottle labeled "Bruin-Brune". Pours a clear dark brown with lots of carbonation but no head. Medium body with big malty presence. Underlying hops bitterness but topped by malty sweetness. Slight raisiny charactger. Late alcohol warming character. A bit carbonated in the bottle.

Flaske. Ikke så megen duft, men stor smag. Ekstrem sød men ikke hvinende. Derimod en fin balance til den megen alkohol som gør at denne kun detekteres til sidst i en slurk. Yderst delikat. Men dog for en dimensionel til at komme over 4.

Tap at The Maproom Chicago. Poured out dark brown, incredible aroma of sweetness, plum-raisin, licorish. Slight alcohol taste. Tasty! Mmmm candy beer!

750ml bottle-pours thin tan head and dark brown color. Aroma is dark malt-rock candy/sweet, dark fruit-plum/raisin, sherry like, biting hops. Taste is very sweet/syrupy, dark malt-rock candy/sweet, dark fruit-plum/raisin, sherry like, biting hops, some molasses/licorice, cloying, also some dryness, huskiness. Nice, sipping. OK carbonation.
