33 cl bottle. Dark brown colour with a wonderful head. Very complex and sweet aroma. Also very sweet flavour with notes of complexity.

Brown and flat-looking in the glass. Some lacing. Aromas are light caramel and not much else. Tasting yields molasses, brown sugar, and caramel. Not much else but the malts here, though the malts are very nice. A nit one-dimensional. A bit too sugary and cloying for my taste.

The one I had, at Belgobaren, Stockholm, was at 12% ABV. Served in proper glass (as usual when I drink :)). Aroma of red wine, figs, raisin, dark chocolate, malt and molasses. Deep, deep, deep, deep, deep red. Beige head. Extremely sweet, malty, berryish, some bitterness, sourish. Smooth, creamy and rich.

What a pleasant surprise to find such an unusual and high quality beer on tap at my usual gin joint (Maple Tree). Pours a gorgeous deep mahogany with thin creamy head. Big aromas of malt, dried fruit , wine. Wine-like texture delivering a rich variety of flavors like burnt sugar, molasses, plums, cognac and raisins. 11% did lay me low somewhat but it’s pretty well hidden. Good!

This is my first beer in belgium, in what turned out to be a hardcore and excellent weekend so on with the ratings. Aroma sweet, full and nutty. Taste is similar with soem coffee and dark fruits kicking in too, quite complex.

Dark brown in colour. Complex caramel malt aromas along with notes of raisin, vanilla, and other dried fruits. It’s fairly thick bodied, and has some interesting flavors going on, such as malt, prunes, brown sugar, and a mild chocolate note. Complex and strong stuff. Thanks radiomgb!

12z bottle. Murky brown hue. Lemons in the nose along with a subtle malt note. Smooth and sweet flavor with raisins and lightly roasted, caramel malts. Good example but I think a lil young.

(750ml bottle) Pours a murky brown body with a moderate creamy beige head. Aroma of raisins, toffee, plums, and malt. Rich flavor of molasses, raisins, dates, brown sugar, and malt. Thick, syrupy mouthfeel with a sweet finish
