sound of the pour is nice and clear. Not too much foam. Black as night but with a slight reddish hue. Rusty smell. Just a little too sweet but the alcohol warming is nice.

Pours a dark brown with thin light tan head. The nose is rich, sweet, fruity, plum, spicy alcohol, Belgian yeast, earthy. The flavor is warm, fruity, nice collaboration of flavor, port/plum flavors, spicy. Enjoyed this. Warm palate with nice carbonation.

Dark brown with reddish hues and a very thin tanned head. Moderate aroma of fruity malts, prunes and some molasses. Medium to full bodied mouthfeel with dominating dark fruity (raisin) character with brown sugar candy and some alcoholic figs. Slightly bitter, heavy burnt sugar feel in the finish. The alcohol feel could be more well hidden, but the main character of this beer is really great.

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Pours a very dark brown, with a very thin off white head. It is a bit boozy. Some decent dark malts, dark fruits, some juiciness. Quite hot on the finish with the alcohol. Just a bit too obvious on the alcohol to be honest. Mind you knocking it back fairly quickly did make me quite happy.

Bottle. Pours a nice syrupy black w/ a light tan head. Aroma of figs and cherry complimented by a subtle bitterness. Actually, quite nuanced and dynamic. The heavy alcohol is greatly apparent as it hits the esophagus and stomach. Medium to heavily bodied. Very nice.

Unclear brown, fast dissapearing head. Strong malty aroma of ripe dark fruit, caramel, sheery and alcohol. Spices develops in mouth. Flavour is sweet. finish is sweet and warming. Alcohol is well balanced.

Draft - Poured a reddish dark brown in color with a medium tan head that held up and produced some lacing on the glass. Aroma is malty sweet with plenty of dark fruits. Flavor followed closely... plenty of dark fruit and brown sugar. A bit too sweet for my taste, but good.

a nicely fragrent darkish brown and red Belgian strong ale with a lightish alcohol flavor similar to an aged rum but with prune and raisin like fruit flavors that complement well and deliver good presentation and satisfaction. a touch sticky and sweet with a balancing new fruit flavor accompanying the package and brightening the flavor profile and thereby bringing appeal to a greater audience as it seems aged yet vibrant.
