The high alcohol content is well felt. BeerGestapo (740), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of fruits, orange peel and malts. The taste is very interesting, super sweet candy, caramel, cherries and figs. The mouthfeel is really sweet, but don’t let that fool you because the alcohol burn is right behind all that sweetness. So watch out for the sugar rush !!! afireinside96 (839), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA

Dark reddish brown in color topped by a khaki head. Smells sweet and malty, has spicy yeast undertones. It tastes like candy at first sip. As your tongue becomes acclimated to the sweetness lots of fruitiness emerges, fig, raisin, orange, and cherry. The finish was relatively dry, a nice contrast to the initial sweetness, with a good deal of cherry flavor. It was very complex though the alcohol was apparent every step of the way. Good but needs something to put it on the verge of greatness. KnN (746), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 1, 2009 Poured a red/amber color with a bit of an off white head. Aroma was caramel and raisins, a lot of dark fruit, figs, plums. Flavor had the same raisin qualities with some molasses and brown sugar thrown into the mix. Nice beer. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 1, 2009 75cl bottle. Clear brown even after I thought I poured the yeast in, and a small head. The aroma is lightly alcoholic and vinous with raisin, almond and brown sugar. Sweet dried fruit and grape flavors, dark sugars and a light alcohol. Full bodied with low carbonation. Just a bit sweet and unbalanced, though the simple malt flavors are still appealing. Gualthiero (35), Antwerp, Belgium
