Pours dark red with off white head. The aroma is very sweet. The taste is sweet and full of Alcohol. beer lacks balance but is very flavorable as long as you like sweet.

Bottle. Pours a clear brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet and so is the flavor. The palate is bold and overall a average beer.

Brown to black coloured. Pours out with a small head, beige-like. Aroma is candysugar, molasse, coffee.taste is full, bitter, chocolate-like. Alochol is slightly dominating, but not too much. Compared to the tripel-one the alcohol is not so doominating. Slightly sweety, nice.

Warm-brown coloured beer with bubbley off white foam. Aroma is rich with hints of caramel, fruits, sugars and dark cereals. Taste is warm, sweet, caramely, fruity and boozy.

330 mL bottle from St. Veronus. Opaque chestnut brown with a small, short-lived brown head. Mild aroma makes me think more of a dubbel than a brown or quad. The flavour is just too sweet. Humbugs and brown sugar. How do you end up with this much residual sugar?!? Low carbonation doesn’t help.

Bottle at Brouhaha. The color is a dark hazy brown with an off white head. The aroma is of malt and plumes. The taste also of malt and plumes and caramel and fruits. The taste is very heavy and the alcohol is very present.Very good Belgium beer but a wee heavy in the alcohol% for me.

Coffee aroma. Average, frothy and light-brown head. Mostly diminishing longevity. Clear, amber body. Moderate sweet flavor with a long finish duration. Medium palate.

Bottle. Pours cloudy dark brown with a big head that fades fast. The aroma is all Belgian - yeast, esters, a bit of dark malts, and a hint of alcohol if you look. The flavor is super sweet all the way - way too much - it’s like drinking slightly hoppy and bitter pancake and cough syrup.

(Bottle 75 cl. as Kasteel Brune) Pours reddish brown. Nice vinous sweet aroma. Flavour of overwhelming sweetnes, caramel, dried fruits, almond. Full body, alcohol is actually well hidden but the sweetness is just to much.
