Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is heavy yeast with detectable vanilla, citrus, and banana. Taste is the same, with a nice full body and a barely-there alcohol burn. It’s a very solid tripel, though not the best of the style.

Draft at Uber. Crystal clear medium yellow. Thick, creamy, fizzy platinum blonde head. The usual dust, toffee, and green apples on the nose, but the sweet stuff is very restrained. Nice medium body, very light and dry. Mid-palate shows that dust, toffee, and green apple, but gets all light and airy--just positively arid. Hides that high booze count super well. Still, the dryness is the only thing about it that’s really super-amazing.

[bottle] Yeasty aroma with plenty of sweet corriander and orange. Some clove and esters of tropical fruits. Clear orange-yellow with a lasting shiny, white top. Sweet yeasty orange sugar flavour with some horseblanket and an herbal bitterness that is nicely accompanied by ethanol. Medium body, high carbonation, warming. Very pleasant, if a tad to ethanolic.

0.75L with a date of 08-2007 on the label and once opened I noticed 10-2004 on the cork. Cool, it’s got some age. Pours clear gold with brief white had. The mild aroma sparks up notes of apples, plums, apricots, green apples, a bit of yeastiness, Brett like tart undertones and a faint background of funk. The taste is very much the same with an earthy pulse of green apples, green grapes, some plums and apricot fruitiness. Quickly a mild acidity and Brett tartness well up before white wine like fruitiness and tannins join in too. The tartness and perceived Brett are very mild notes and only add a bit to the overall experience. This 4yr old brew can easily withstand additional aging but I think it taste very nice right now.
