Dense lacing. Sour taste with a bitter finish. Heavy on alcohol. Delightful mouth feel with a medium body. DSG (1501), Tel Aviv, Israel
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 6, 2008 Bottle. Clear golden beer with a huge frothy white head that diminishes slowly. Fruity aroma with some yeast, light hoppy notes, citrus hints and spice (some pepper in there). Flavor is slightly sweetish at first with light bready notes, later gets drier with some yeast and fruits, and finishes with rather bitter spicy hops and some alcohol. Medium-bodied. Not too bad, just nothing exciting and a bit too alcoholic. MagooinPA (99), Warminster, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Wow! Some powerful stuff. Very light straw color with tons of carbonation and a big white fluffy head poured into a Chimay goblet. Very spicy compared to many tripels with lots of sweet alcohol burn. definitely a sipper. Some tripels are almost like session beers in taste, not this one but still very nice. It is an over the top Chimay. Rciesla (3611), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
