The aroma has a bit of sweetness with hints of vanilla. The taste is sweet with a distinct alcohol presence. A light acidity makes itself known in the aftertaste. Good but not a great tripel. broncoman (8), new monmouth, New Jersey, USA does not count | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 17, 2008 nice, nice nice. the aroma suggest a rich vinegar sour ale. the appearence is something to behold in a blonde, the flavor in right on with the aroma. comes on strong, with alight sour, vinegar taste. however the a rich creamy oliy texture takes you to a clean finish through and through. this is the ultimate good time brew. i rate this up with the likes of Duvel. Weak head that dies quickly. Clear, golden colourwith some bubbles.
Typical sweetish-fruity tripel smell. Salty, fruity spicy flavour with a salty, sweetie, bitter-sour palate. Somewhat undefined. Bit too alcoholic. smith4498 (880), Miami, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 14, 2008 Pours hazy golden color with white head. Aromas of dough, bananas, fruity yeast. Very sweet and definately alcoholic flavor. Creamy mouthfeel, meduim body and fizzy carbonation. This is not bad but not really representative of the style. This is a unique beer. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 4, 2008 Bottle. Small tan head that was mostly lasting, no lacing, some carbonation, transparent, and a reddish brown hue. Nose was malty, sweet and alcohol. Ditto for the flavor. Tingly mouthfeel and mediumb in body. Quaffable and well balanced, but there are better out there of this style IMO. BillyM (149), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 25, 2008 An interesting mix of flavors coming through with a sweetness that balances well against the hops. The bready yeast also mixes well against the citrus. I like the way the combination of flavors enhance the alcohol. SSSteve (2064), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
