33cL bottle as Kasteel Triple / 11% / bottled 03/29/07. Aroma is a bit sweet, spice, light fruit and a hint of burnt sugar. Slightly orange gold color with a significant white head. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is slightly petroleum with sweet malt, a little sharp, peppery spice, and finally some yeast. The finish is dry, with some herbal hop notes. The alcohol is ever present, and the flavors are not strong enough to submerge it properly. It’s not burning, just always there. The malt liquor of Belgian ale?

this beer has a llight golden body like most other tripels topped with very little head. Has a very sweet malt and honey aroma and a flavor of the same.

Bottled on 04/18/07, consumed on 01/06/08. Bright gold with hints of orange. Slight haze, and a big head that fades fast but retains a 1/8 inch cap of dense foam to the end of the glass. Aroma is fruity (candied citrus peel) and peppery, with some banana in the background. Flavor is more candied citrus peel, banana and some hints of anise.

Right from the start there is a skunk scent coming off the bottle, once poured you get a slight fruity scent coming though. Color is a hazy yellow/gold with good carbonation and very little head. Taste is creamy and sweet. It starts with a light/medium body that goes down with a creamy feel. Finish comes on with a sweet light fruity taste that is a bit cidery on the end. In the after taste the cider taste fades and leaves you with an alcohol feel. Not the best Belgian style I have had. I have no idea why they put it in a green bottle, its too cidery and the alcohol is to prevalent. Also after drinking it for a while a skunk taste begins to show and lingers after. This is one Belgian that should be drank a fresh as possible and never cellared. This may be the poorest example of a Belgian I have had.

Bottled from AH in Mestreech. Hazy light yellow color, with average but vy bubbly fluffy head. nose is yeast. Aroms is fruits some hops and yeasr. Flavour is dominated by yeast, cereals and alcohol. It is not that well composed as their Bruin. Carbonation is a bit too high and makes yeast coming through stronger.

10oz draft. Golden pour with foamy white head and some lacing. Aroma is very sweet with apples, bananas, and clove. A very sweet taste with a lot of alcohol and a peppery bitter finish. Decently smooth for the high ABV.

Appearance is nice, the head is soft, but thick with a lacing. Smell is slightly metalic, but also sweet burnt sugar with underlying malts. Taste is sweet, malty and has flavors of faint burnt sugar, and cloves. Mouthfeel is velvet and smooth, very good. I like this beer, it’s definetly not a session beer, but I enjoyed it very much.

bottle split with wcampbell. This one was a bit too strong for me. Aroma is sweet and some fruit. The flavor is some fruit and sweet but also alcohol. :::SECOND TRY:::: Bottle split with Pat, Tony, and Pwn3d. This pours a slightly cloudy yellow body with nice white head. The aroma is sweet candy and malt. The flavor is very smooth, much better than my original tasting. Hides the alcohol quite well.
