330ml served in a Duvel tulip. Clear golden pour with a nice persistent head and lacing everywhere. Yeasty, musty aroma. First sip is a mouthfull of booze. (not a bad thing.. I sure dont drink beer for the water content) Sweet yeasty, doughy flavors with a note of banana. A little spicy, but no one flavor dominates other than the alcohol. A somewhat winey character. Dries out in the finish. An interesting beer with a real kick, and much easier to drink than you would expect of an 11% ale. Bought the 4-pack for 11.99 at the local bottle shop. Cheers!

33cl bottle, dated 12-04. Pours murky gold without any real head. Aroma of alcohol drenched tropical fruits. Drinks the same way, some substantial sweetness, a lot of heat. But not horrible. Way too hot for me to say it has any grace. I wonder what would be if they knocked this down 2%ABV? May be even boozier than Westmalle, which this tried to copy.

The Lure:
From a near-filtered golden hay robe protrude bubblegummy esters on moist forest floors. Alcohol is well-hidden for its size.

The Festivities:
Alcohol sometimes splashes within a weizen-like bubblegum sweetness. Light lemon rinds and yeast flakes float in the meager, but smooth body.

Transcendence:
A quiet muscle man without much to say.

Strong alcohol, bubblegum incense-like cedar woodiness, sweet malts and a sulfurous note in the aroma. Very clear, pale, golden-coloured body with decent white head that recedes to generous cover with patchy lacing. Sweet malts and pie-crust like doughy yeast flavours are simple but enjoyable. Fair note of alcohol and definite alcohol warming. Medium body but somewhat still and plain in the mouth. Bottle (Best Before 12/06) enjoyed with MartinT and Rastacouere.

Clear golden-amber pour is moderately carbonation thus possesses a light diminishing white head. Strong heating nose is quite spicy and hoppy. Balance is fine, but I give myself the right to expect a bit more depth in an 11% belgian strong. Hops come out resiny while generous yeastiness procures licorice like flavors. Citrusy flavor profile with hot honey and bubblegum flavors that becomes drier as the hops kick in. Spicy touch contributes to the flavor balance but don’t dream of drinking a 330mL to yourself unless you like the feeling of your lips stuck together. Medium body presents tingly carbonation. Globally a good beer, though inferior to the sum of its parts.

Thick blond beer with the color of honey and a lively caracter. It has a fluffy white head and an intens aroma. The nose is malty, sweet, nutty (cachuwnuts), honeyed and round. The taste smooth and warm (Alcohol). In the taste you can find hints of sweet corn, honey, malts peache sirup and a little hops.

Vintage 99’- Cloudy Blonde color, sweet fruit smell. Fizzy on the tongue with a sharp after taste.

Clear golden coloured body with a super-thin fast dying white head. Aroma of yeast, coriander seed, malt and honey. Effervescent malt with honey, coriander seed, wheat and a small herbal taste. Light-bodied; Aftertaste clean and fresh-some grass and yeast in the palate. Not great nor bad. Overall, a nice trip-definitely good to try! I sampled this 75 cL bottle, purchased from Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia by my brother-in-law Andy on 24-December-2004.
