Orangy color and a big but short lived off-white head. Alcohol and bready yeast are the dominant scents. Rich fruit and some floral hoppiness are in the shadows. A thick feeling sweet warm brew. A rich nutty maltiness coats the mouth. Alcohol warms all the way down. If approached as a normal drinking brew, it’s overwhelming. If approached as a "sipper" this is a nice dessert brew, great as a before bedtime drink on a cold winters night.

11.17.04 750ml bottle. Lightly hazed gold with creamy white head of dense and aromatic bubbles. Strong aromas of ripe pear, sweet sauterne, biscuity yeast. Very enjoyable to sniff with perfumey undertones and lots of booze. Palate is chewy, ripe, and full. Big mouthfeel with major alcohol presence and finish. Nothing spectacular but fantastically drinkable for such a big beer.

Cloudy golden color with a medium size white head. Nice lacing throughout. Yeasty, citrusy aroma. Somewhat sweet initially, with a dry, hoppy, alcoholic finish.

Bottle: Pale yellow, large white head, slightly hazy. Very carbonated. Strong, sharp fruity scent, alcohol, belgian yeasts, sweet malty cookie dough, lemon & citrus. Tastes has a bit of alcohol bite, blends well with the spicey yeast, lemon/citrus/fruit tastes and the sweet malt. Very drinkable.

pale yellow. Decent head. Abrupt aroma of cleaning solution and citrus. Fast fading head. Minimal lace. Strong alcohol flavor. Bitter citrus fruits in the finish. There is no masking the 11% in this. It comes through, but it’s still suprisingly drinkable. Definitely not an every day beer though.

750 ml bottle dated 09/2003. Yellow with a white head. Sharp fruity aroma with slight alcohol. Sharp citrus peel like flavor, with a bit of an alcohol bite. Not bad but nothing special.

this is a golden triple that lacked the compex sweetness of many triples I’ve had. It’s ok, but not great.
